Available Profiles and Fixing Options
Every cladding board is sanded, coated, cured and packed under controlled factory conditions. Touch up coating is supplied with every order. Trims, fixings and accessories can be colour matched to the primary product so everything arrives at site consistent from board to fixing.
For projects requiring a specific profile, species or finish outside the standard range, custom options are available on request.
Boards can be fixed vertically, horizontally or diagonally to suit the project design.
Each board is factory finished in the selected coating system and delivered to site ready to fix.

Shiplap delivers a high end result whether the face is dressed smooth or fresh sawn for a more textured, character driven finish. Available in three channel widths, the profile can be fixed vertically, horizontally or diagonally to suit the design intent of any project. Hardwood Cladding
Australian hardwoods are among the most durable building timbers available anywhere. Dense, hard wearing and naturally suited to exterior conditions, species like Spotted Gum and Blackbutt have long been specified for structural applications and are now widely used for cladding, panelling and screening across residential and commercial projects.
The strength and density of Australian hardwoods means they perform well in bushfire prone areas and meet relevant building standards for those zones. Blackbutt
A premium Australian hardwood with a straight grain, pale golden tone and excellent natural durability. Blackbutt is widely specified across residential and commercial cladding applications for its clean, consistent appearance and performance in exterior conditions.

Decor Series
The Décor profile creates the visual impression of solid timber screening while delivering the practical benefits of a tongue and groove board. The alternating narrow face and groove width produces a distinctive shadow line and depth that reads differently depending on the light and the fixing direction. Suitable for face or concealed fixings. Available in a range of widths and thicknesses to suit the application. Beyond its aesthetic, Décor cladding provides good insulation performance, acoustic properties and privacy. Factory finished in your choice of coating system and delivered to site ready to fix.
Vee Joint Series

CUTEK Extreme CD50
A penetrating clear oil that works from the inside out. Rather than sitting on the surface, CUTEK CD50 diffuses deep into the timber to stabilise it from within, actively reducing warping, cupping and splitting caused by moisture movement. Applied clear, it enhances the natural grain and allows timber to develop a natural silver patina over time. Made in Australia and formulated for local conditions. Does not crack, peel or flake. Maintenance is straightforward — clean and recoat, no sanding required.
WOCA Natural Oil
A Danish hardwax oil system built on plant based ingredients. The natural clear finish penetrates the timber surface to nourish and protect without adding pigment, maintaining the timber’s original colour and grain. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, water based with low VOC content, and delivers a durable, low sheen finish that allows the timber to breathe naturally. A low maintenance system, particularly on internal applications where little to no upkeep is needed once the initial coats are applied.
Intergrain Universal Timber Oil
A deeply penetrating, oil based clear coat designed for all exterior timber. Nourishes the timber from within to protect structural integrity, resist moisture and reduce warping, cracking and fading over time. The clear finish enhances the natural grain without significantly changing the colour of the timber, making it well suited to projects where the natural character of the species is the focus. Widely specified across residential and commercial construction in Australia.
Abodo Protector Oil
A waterborne penetrating oil developed specifically for use on thermally modified timber, including the Imbue and Abodo Vulcan ranges. Combines refined plant oils, UV protection and an advanced fungicidal package for superior exterior performance. Available in a curated range of colours including natural tones and deeper pigmented options. Penetrates into the timber surface rather than forming a film, meaning superior long term performance and straightforward maintenance without sanding or stripping.
Intergrain Charred Black
A breathable, hydrophobic wax based cream formulated for vertical timber surfaces including cladding, screening and feature walls. Available in a range of colours from natural through to bold pigmented finishes, WoodCream colours and protects the timber while keeping the pores open so the wood can breathe naturally. Water repellent and self cleaning, with droplets carrying dirt particles off the surface as they run. Does not form a sealing layer, meaning no flaking or chipping over time. Suitable for interior and exterior vertical applications.
Rubio Monocoat DuroGrit
A one coat exterior wood stain and sealer built on Rubio’s patented FibreGrit Technology. Microscopic wood fibres suspended in the oil penetrate and bond with the timber surface, creating a durable network that delivers exceptional UV protection and wear resistance. Available in 16 earthy and architectural tones, DuroGrit is suitable for both vertical and horizontal surfaces including decking, cladding, fencing and outdoor furniture. Zero VOC, water based and low maintenance.
Intergrain Charred Black
A penetrating water based stain that replicates the appearance of charred timber without the variability of an actual charring process. Delivers a deep, rich black finish while allowing the natural grain and texture of the timber to remain visible. Guaranteed not to peel, flake or blister on vertical surfaces. UV and weather resistant, designed for use on exterior cladding, screening, fencing and architectural timber features. One of the most specified dark finishes for contemporary Australian residential and commercial facades.
Porters Palm Beach Black
A water based, colourfast black stain for interior and exterior timber. Applied as a transparent wash it enhances the grain and depth of the timber. Built up to full opacity it delivers a dramatic, rich charcoal black finish. Made with UV resistant pigments and suitable for cladding, plywood, weatherboard and internal feature walls. A favourite of architects and designers for its versatility and the depth of finish it achieves on both new and aged timber surfaces.
Teknos
A European industrial coating system widely used in factory applied cladding applications across hardwood, softwood and modified timber. Teknos offers a full range of exterior coating solutions including opaque and translucent finishes across wood preservative, primer and topcoat systems. Developed for high volume production line application, Teknos coatings are engineered for durability, UV resistance and long term performance on exterior facades. Available in a broad colour range with technical support for factory application environments.

Where are you located and do you service nationally?
QC Architectural is based in Carole Park, Queensland. Prefinished products and contract coating services are available to builders, architects, manufacturers and supply partners nationally.
Can I supply my own materials for coating?
Yes. Manufacturers, distributors and builders can supply their own substrate and QC Architectural will apply factory coating systems to specification. Timber, fibre cement, plywood, aluminium and accessories are all accepted.
Do you coat trims, fixings and accessories to match?
Yes. QC Architectural coats everything required to complete a full cladding system. Nails, screws, aluminium angles, plastic trims, flashings and other accessories can all be finished to match the primary product so everything arrives at site consistent from the first board to the last fixing.
What coating systems do you use?
Water based, oil based, solvent based and 2K fluoropolymer. The facility applies a wide range of systems including CUTEK, WOCA, Intergrain, Rubio Monocoat, Porters, Abodo Protector Oil and Teknos across timber, fibre cement, plywood and aluminium substrates. Every coating is applied to paint manufacturer specifications in a controlled factory environment to ensure warranties are met.
Do you offer prefinished timber direct to builders and architects?
Yes. QC Architectural supplies prefinished timber cladding, internal linings and batten and screening direct to builders, architects and construction projects. The range includes Spotted Gum, Western Red Cedar and Hemlock across Shiplap, Vee Joint and Décor profiles, factory finished and delivered to site ready to install. Blackbutt is also available subject to availability.
What is Fireshield G1FR and do I need it on my project?
Fireshield G1FR TimberClear is a clear intumescent coating that delivers a Group 1 fire retardant rating on internal timber lining products under the National Construction Code. QC Architectural is the only accredited Fireshield applicator in Queensland. If your project requires Group 1 timber surface compliance, contact the team to discuss. Where a coloured or stained finish is also required, QC Architectural works with Resene Coatings as the only approved stain system compatible with Fireshield G1FR.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes. All factory applied coatings are carried out by accredited applicators using approved coating systems. Warranty terms vary by product, substrate and coating system and will be confirmed at the time of order. Touch up kits matched to the applied finish are supplied with every prefinished timber order.
What is the difference between prefinished and painted onsite?
Factory coating is carried out under controlled conditions using accredited coating systems and monitored application processes. Every board is finished to the same standard, batch after batch. Onsite painting is subject to weather, trade availability, varying conditions and inconsistent film build. Factory finished timber also comes with warranty backing that onsite application by an unaccredited applicator typically cannot provide.
How long does factory coating take and what are your lead times?
Standard lead time is a minimum of 14 days from receipt of confirmed order and materials. Lead times may extend during peak periods. Contact the team early in your project programme to lock in delivery dates and avoid delays.
Can I get a custom colour or a colour outside your standard range?
Yes. Custom colour matching is available across most coating systems. Submit an enquiry with your colour reference and the team will confirm feasibility, any applicable minimum quantities and lead time.
What timber species do you offer in the prefinished range?
The current prefinished range includes Spotted Gum, Western Red Cedar and Hemlock across Shiplap, Vee Joint and Décor profiles. Blackbutt is also available subject to availability. All species are offered across cladding, internal linings and batten and screening applications. The range will expand over time as new species and products are added.
